Postponed date TBC - Dinghy Instructor Course

13th - 17 April

The RYA Dinghy Instructor course allows successful candidates to teach the RYA syllabus from Stage 1 up to Seamanship skills (and with previous experience) Sailing with Spinnakers.

It's the first in the Dinghy instructor pathway, and the first step for people wanting to teach dinghy sailing.

In this 5-day course you will learn how to coach the RYA syllabus and the skills and drills of being an instructor.

Unlike most RYA courses this one has a number of requisites. You have to be/have:

A minimum of 16 years old

Hold a valid first aid certificate - for more info on what the first aid course must cover to be valid click here

Hold and RYA Powerboat Level 2 certificate

Hold the RYA Safe and Fun certificate

Have completed the pre-entry sailing assesment within 1 year of the instructor training course.

Please ensure that you have met the pre-requisites for this course. If you have not passed the pre-assesment you will be unable to attend this course. Failure to have gained your First Aid or Powerboat Level 2 will result in being ‘action-planned’ and will postpone passing the course.

If you are in any doubt about this course then please contact the office at or give us a call on 01753 683872.
